The Music Video Review - Bon Kyu Bon wa Kare no Mono
Hey! Welcome to the Reiwa Era!! I mean, I don't usually give a damn, but then again it's my first time witnessing a Japanese era change, so... I'll get hyped for this. I've already dedicated this week to daily posts already, what more do you want?
Today, instead of talking about kawaii imouto in this "Kawaii Golden Week Japan" special, let's talk about kawaii(?) ane-san, because what better to have than have a sexy elder sister (which I don't have) (I mean, I do have one but she's not sexy haha) like this one, yes? So yeah, let's talk about her latest music video which has been making all the waves on social media and also suggested to be pedophilic and having erotic themes?? What is going on? SOME CONTEXT I mean, we've all been there already, since I've technically known Uesaka Sumire (from here, Sumipe) for 3 years straight and listened to many of her songs, so besides selfies on Instagram and fighting scenes and whatever is in between her boobs (lol), what else can she show? Well, as you all guessed it, it's her body. They've done it. Revealing as the new opening theme song for Anime "Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?", the show itself was in an ecchi theme, so I guess the composer along with music video production decided that they can exploit (oops) the heck out of Sumipe's reputation for this to be as sellable as possible, and here we are. Personally, I really think this is a good song, the like, angles (haha) for the text and so on besides Sumipe herself were also done real well, no comment on narrative lol, but after that... man do the lyrics and the MV mislead us to all kinds of dirty thought maybe (I don't; this is nothing haha), and we shall see for ourselves how much can this social media magnet of a voice actress go to get as much eyeballs on her as possible. Maybe her style book which featured swimsuits wasn't enough, huh. *laughs*
