You know today is a good day when I start the day with some Natsukawa Shiina wallpaper on my phone and end it with a Kohara Konomi photobook review haha *dabs* in Nan-chan's defence she is my imouto so

But between these and me taking work leave tomorrow so I can have a glorious long weekend *dabs*, one would wonder why I'm doing so much for dear Koko-chan here.

Because I can, that's all. No, really. *giggles* Dear girl, this one's for you. Oh it's tanabata today? That's just a coincidence I didn't think of crossing the bridge of love with her hehe

THE ORIGIN

It was just months ago that Kohara Konomi right here reached her 30th birthday but also introduced us to her very first photobook! You may know her from various Anime where she voices cute girls but despite that not being her actual image, she might be here to prove us wrong especially from an artistic standpoint. I even went as far as to even try to get the signed version pre-order AT WORK hehe because it happened around 11am local time, and did not manage to grab a copy because I was dumb enough to use my smartphone without a great connection. Smarter people would've used their laptops and Wi-Fi lol. If I did get it though, this review would be delayed by a month as you know, Koko-chan gotta sign all of them personally. *silence* I know, it sucks to not get it, I know. *sob* Hey at least I get to see the official website images change throughout the day, yes? Haha I always missed the morning one because you know, 6 hours per season day. This one was bought from Gamers though, in which will get you a different cover band if you bought from the other two stores namely Animate and Melonbooks, so respectively are spring, winter and autumn covers. So add that with the summer themed cover, you get the four seasons!

Okay so essentially what this is just her in four seasons, taken by a very eccentric (female) photographer which if you had your fill of such a style in Koga Aoi photobook, this one seeks to impress. With the addition of special film camera shots throughout the book, this one serves to show a very different side into appreciating photobooks, and the beautiful, beautiful girl in them.

BIJIN KOKO-CHAN LET'S GO

Oh just a reminder that these are not the usual paper but a little more coarse like those art paper, and how books were traditionally handmade, it doesn't have a modern (stapled and taped) binder so it's held together using twine which will also explain how I flip the pages later including the above where there are cases where I don't have to put my hand down to take photos and then the reverse where it's impossible to not, so just take note.

I would say though that the photobook is very well done, even down to each shot, to represent Koko-chan's beauty and all she stands for, but I guess it's just me not feeling enough love for her. No, really, I'm really reflecting on this right now, thinking whether it's the quality of the shots or is it me not being into her enough that is the problem. *silence* I'm starting to believe it's the latter. *laughs* Either way, Koko-chan I've done my all to support you on this and even trying to get a signed copy, so you're welcome. I can't believe you'll grant us this wish of seeing you in more photos than ever other than your already awesome Instagram account so I'll take it!! *thumbs up*

Oh and no interviews, by the way. This is literally it, and I love these where they don't slot in pages of text because it's called a PHOTOBOOK dude, you don't tell me about your parents and childhood- Then again Koko-chan how are you as a kid? I heard you were in theatre before you came into the voice acting industry 5 years ago so

That's all I guess, and if you see things incomplete don't worry since I have the WHOLE long weekend starting now to finish it. *dabs* Somehow right now I believe I am able to reach 20 books by the end of the year seeing the bulk of voice actresses of age as a reason to release something to commemorate lol typically 25 and 30 for those wondering, so we might get a couple more of these, who is to tell. See you all then while I amaze myself at all the damn close-ups because secretly I just want some Koko-chan in my life honestly. I mean, who doesn't?

You may have noticed why I have not mentioned anything more from where I purchased because it turns out, I may have been scammed because I swear I showed you all of the box two days ago and it did not feature another cover with the spring set that they promised. Oh well, can't do much anyways can't ask for a refund and I threw the box away this morning already- And that's why I don't throw away boxes this fast, dad. *laughs* *sigh* I'll believe that I missed the pre-order window since I did purchase it a month before release? And yeah I didn't pay on time so maybe it's off or something *sob*
