Well, yesterday was such a good time to review a photobook, I woke up the most energetic within this year alone lol, and decided to do this a day later. *silence* Ask me how often I dozed off at work in the afternoon haha well I just got my coffee dose earlier before I left the office so

And I thought that is why I decided to NOT do this yesterday, because turns out maybe today was better? Also, didn't notice yesterday was International Women's Day but that's not the point here because I would argue in today for Japan it's more meaningful to represent my gratefulness with this review so thank you Rikachimalu for this photobook I could never ask that for many others and you did it so *kneels down*

THE BOOK

THE ORIGIN

I guess I should start with when I knew of her. It's Anime, no surprises, Nagae Rika here is a Japanese voice actress after all. Most of us would have known her from 2018 Anime series "Asobi Asobase" voicing one of the 3 main girls as terrible-American Japanese Olivia haha, you may even know her from that isekai retirement Anime which is her new main role in a while, but actually, I already somehow knew of her a year before I really recognized her voice which was in 2017 Anime "PriPri Chii-chan" haha don't worry that animation is for kids, but she was voicing a male character! Yeah, surprising I didn't know of her back then, but yeah don't worry "Asobi Asobase" did make up for it. *laughs* From video specials I got to witness her lively personality in front of the camera (of course not as hype as 1x Kino Hina lol but this is not promoting her) and actually how adorable she can be, and probably even more. My memory is kinda fading over the years knowing of her as she often appears in the Anime I watch most recently "Aharen-san" and in online video series which she still is in one now "Tensai!? Rikachimalu", and podcasts like the one this publisher's parent company is featuring her in "Nagae Rika's 17 Changes"... she is trying her very best to appear in front of the Internet the best way she can. Trust me, even I did not believe she can get in the spotlight time and again, let alone release a photobook maybe for an occasion we don't know of because by the way, we do not know of her age. We will get to the disclaimer later hehe, but suffice it to say age doesn't stop us from liking her, not any lesser, and I think it's worthy to give her this book when it was announced end of last year. Anyways, Rikachimalu, this is months in the making, I really tried to avoid spoilers online apart from the publisher's official Twitter account just spoiling the heck out of me, but now that I got my hands on it let's go in blind to see what she has to offer!

Alright I should take a short break from this perfection haha but as you will see below, this is a location-based photobook where she goes to Kobe (capital city of Hyougo Prefecture) and I guess everything else says in itself, it's more than just a dating simulator in my opinion. Ok less talk more appreciating this beauty hehe

In case you don't know, Rika-chan here is a fan of cooking, and started to document her cooking results some time ago on her Instagram account where she shows the variety of food she has tried and boy I will eat every single one if served to me. *silence* She should open a restaurant haha

To release a photobook in my life,
it has been one of the biggest things I have wanted to do.
It's (my) first time trying, we had a lot of trial and error with the staff,
(we) really went all in on making this possible.
(I) tried out on a lot of things as much as possible in this,
page by page, without much to spare so please look at (all of) them.
(I) hope (you all) enjoyed all of this...

Wow Rikachimalu, I DID ENJOY ALL OF THIS!!! *giggles* So yeah, just photos, no interviews, no Q&A unless you count the cat subtitled by her and the cooking recipes lol I mean do you need more answers? *laughs* But apart from that, it's mostly just her appealing the heck out of us, and I can NOT ask for any more. Though if this is the 1st, maybe next time we do bikini, yes? YES! Haha okay dude when will that be anyways-

Personally, it really feels to me like if I were to be her partner it'll be great, we'll hang out, we may hold hands, but it won't feel like we're a couple. I will think she likes her friends and cat more than me. Friendzoned but not friendzoned? Haha yeah

Serious talk though, I would make the perfect cooking palate for her considering I don't eat most things lol. I will eat anything she cooks though she is such waifu material I'll do anything for her *wink*

Ah about that lack of birth year though...

Other than that, for the Animate special edition, we of course have the special gift bromide which don't worry I really preferred this over the other stores including Gamers but more importantly, it came with a voice message for those who bought the store specific versions outside of the main publisher's store! Of course I took a listen, but not after I had to put in a lot of effort just to create an account which I SWEAR that 2 years ago when I did this with Ajuju I didn't have to even sign up for an account so let me walk you through it if you are also confused lol:

Eh, if you wonder what was in the comparatively longer voicemail at 12 minutes haha this can be a podcast in itself already (FYI Ajuju's was just 2 minutes? Thanking customers lol cringe), and as Rikachi (haha) talked about herself lol we need introductions huh we did not have a Q&A anyways this might be it; Others' love of her voice was her motivation to be a voice actress, she loves cooking for over 5 years now (I assume living alone in Tokyo) influenced by her mom please let me be your partner lmao, and her wish is to do a driving trip around the world which she doesn't have a driving license so... *laughs* Her photobook concept was namely for her to be in another world *gets crazy deja vu* and dress up in different outfits and hairstyles in somewhere away from her hometown Saitama, thus the title of re-colouring of her usual life. She knows a lot of the outfits are sexy and not only showing more skin, and these are already normally unaware even to people around her. Her favourite shots are rather similar to mine and we are not talking about skin (eg. the back view of her in the aquarium, running in the park) but yes even the cameraman was happy about the back shot on the bed so what else is new. *laughs* She only is good at 4 dishes as shown in the book even though she showed off a lot on Instagram as she explores the idea of putting recipes in photobooks and of course trying new cooking every month.

And that's it! Yeah it just feels like listening to another podcast which I have gotten accustomed to- So be sure to tune in every Monday on YouTube too! *laughs* I've mentioned this on my 30th birthday post *cringe* haha but I'll mention it again, every other week she does a talk show and a challenge show where in the latter she tries out various stuff like situation impersonations which included (and this is my favourite intro of an episode right now), her impersonating as "your girlfriend in high school trying to get each other to hang up after a long night's call because you guys still got school tomorrow". Yup, it's as awesome as you would expect, especially when she laughed it out. It feels so real too, as she commented, simulating how much one refuses to hang up? Boy, I wished I was 16. *laughs* Anyways that shall be it, Rika-chan you will hold a special place in my heart just from this book alone, and I'm glad I did not stop liking you after I knew you from Anime. Gratefulness achieved!

P.S. Disclaimer with respect to her unknown age, and dammit I should have taken a screenshot of that news article after I saw it (Wayback Machine can't even help me), I swear I wasn't hallucinating because this comment on Twitter can back me up at the least, it has been revealed(?) in a recent article for the Anime she was main in, that she was born in 1996. This will place her in the same range as Natsukawa Shiina and Hondo Kaede, which is actually younger than I thought. *giggles* Okay take that with a pinch of salt but can I be her satellite boyfriend now pretty please??

P.P.S. I promised to mention if I got any new event SSRs in DOAXVV today because obviously I'll do that first before this *giggles*, and I, uh, got Elise-chan. Twice. Back to back. *dabs* So yeah, you're welcome haha
